Rebecca Truszkowski

Growing up in Michigan as the chronicler of family holidays and vacations, Rebecca Truszkowski was destined to be a professional photographer.  It wasn’t until she enrolled in her first photography class in college that this passion truly blossomed - she was hooked immediately.  Rebecca received her BFA with honors from the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology  (RIT) in New York where she won the Rochester ADDY competition for an advertising campaign that she both designed and photographed.

After completing her formal education, Rebecca traveled around the United States ultimately establishing roots in the Los Angeles area.  It is in LA that she has experienced an evolution in her work as a photographer and an artist.  She is quoted as saying, “I’m inspired by the natural beauty in all things and I always draw upon my art history background to create classic imagery.”  This philosophy is immediately apparent in her photography.

Rebecca’s style and visual approach to photography extends to her advertising work, travel stories, lifestyle images and especially her portraiture.  She infuses the same spirit and vision into her still life and product work that she does in her most penetrating portraits.  Rebecca is currently working on a community based portrait and documentary personal project and is also involved with both the Los Angeles Music Scene and the Fine Art Community.

Clients include Kraft, Meredith Corporation, Niche Media,  Il Sole 24Ore, Ventiquattro Magazine, Sabian Cymbals, BEE Magazine, the Beverly Center, Music Trades Magazine, Modern Drummer Magazine and the Feminist Majority Foundation.
