Fern Martin has been producing commercials, music videos and short form films and advertising for almost 25 years.

A graduate of the UCLA School of Fine Arts with a specialty in painting and conceptual sculpture, Fern gravitated toward the challenging and exciting universe of film production. While spending two seasons as a volunteer with world renowned artists Christo and Jean-Claude, she got a first taste of filmmaking from master documentary filmmakers Albert and David Maysles and was hooked.

During her career she has been Executive Producer and Head of Production at several film companies in Los Angeles, but returned to freelance production to keep the energy alive and the door open for new and interesting possibilities.

Her director clients have included the likes of Barry Sonnenfeld, Peter Berg and Bruce Weber, where she worked on commercials for products as diverse as Hulu, Abercrombie and Fitch, Isuzu and Coca Cola. Fern has produced numerous projects including web content, celebrity music videos and Emmy nominated commercials. Although local to the City of Angels, she has worked around the world. Her mottos are , “think globally, produce locally” and “find the sharp nail, not the big hammer.”
